Action Plan for Statewide Issues
The HR Pandemic Flu Advisory Group is composed of agency HR Directors working collaboratively with the Department of Personnel, Labor Relations Office -- Office of Financial Management, and Labor & Personnel Division -- Attorney General's Office on the workforce considerations that must be addressed at the statewide and agency levels to sustain operations and to support employees during a pandemic.

 

The group will identify resources, formulate options, and develop recommendations for the unique challenges a pandemic creates in managing the State's workforce.

 

 

Member Responsibilities:
  • Personally attend and actively engage at meetings
  • Work in small groups to develop solutions and present to entire membership for feedback and refinement
  • Bring and support ideas
  • Facilitate information-sharing

 

Focus:
  • Staffing strategies to maintain critical functions during increased absenteeism
  • Engagement of unions in pandemic planning
  • Programs to support and provide a safe work environment for state employees
  • Protocol for communicating HR-related information on statewide issues or options to HR Directors during a pandemic
