HRMS Data Definitions Project 

The Office of the State HR Director (OSHRD) has launched the HRMS Data Definitions Project to provide agencies with standard definitions of HRMS field names and dropdown list options and begin HRMS data cleanup activities going forward.

Purpose:

  • Define HRMS data fields and define dropdown options where applicable.
  • Identify erroneous data entry/coding practices.
  • Work with agencies to begin cleanup efforts in HRMS.

 

Ultimate Outcome: To ensure HRMS data is consistent, accurate, and complete across agencies for agency-specific or statewide reporting purposes.

Project Team

The HRMS Data Definitions Project has formed a team of OSHRD staff and agency representatives to serve on the HRMS Data Definitions Project. The team will be responsible for identifying current HRMS data entry issues and defining HRMS fields and options where applicable.

Project Activities

The HRMS Data Definitions Project will be conducted in phases. For each phase of the project, agencies will receive common HRMS data entry issues, along with the data definitions for that phase. Agencies will then begin HRMS data cleanup.

HRMS Data Definition Documents

The following documents are OLQR job aides that will help agencies identify and correct invalid entries in HRMS fields. They provide common HRMS data entry issues and definitions for HRMS fields and options:
